Initially named "FC Krajina", Berwick Kings FC was formed by the Melbourne Serbian community. Since its inception the club has nurtured many players, who today, fifteen years on, still support the Kings jersey.
Beginning in 1990 the Kings story is an eventful battle, one that has brought us from the ranks of amateur league to those of Football Federation Victoria.
In only fifteen years our club was crowned champions eight times, including a cup conquering effort of ’96 when the Kings secured the amateur cup of Victoria at Bob Jane Stadium.
The club aims to work hard, and with cooperation with local authorities strive to achieve the following goals and club vision:
- Promote multiculturalism in football, raise awareness and tolerance
- Attract players and members from diverse backgrounds
- Kick-start a maximum number of junior and senior teams to cater for each community, age group, and gender
- Draw support within south-east Melbourne, associate our club as the home of football within the region
